A: The Gateway is technically capable of supporting up to 254 connections. However, for optimal speed and reliability, particularly for demanding residential gaming/streaming or business critical applications, we recommend limiting total connections to no more than 132.
Q: Can I connect older Wi-Fi devices to this new router?
A: Absolutely. The UbiFi F1 Indoor Router is fully compatible with older Wi-Fi standards (802.11b, g, n, ac, or ax).
Q: How do I expand the number of physical network ports for my wired devices?
A: If you need more than the two integrated 1Gigabit LAN ports, you can easily connect an external Ethernet hub or switch. Simply plug an Ethernet cable from one of the Gateway’s LAN ports into the uplink port of your new switch.
Q: Is the Wi-Fi already secured out of the box?
